Beautiful very unique Royal Bovano Italian style cobalt blue enamel vintage cigarette case or jewelry box from the 1950s or 1960s. It’s in very good vintage condition. There is slight wear on the metal parts due to the age of the product. The box is very heavy.
***Bovano of Cheshire was an enameled copper sculpture company founded in 1952 by artist Jim Bower in Cheshire, Connecticut. The company used a unique process of fusing powdered glass to copper to create detailed wildlife and nature-inspired art. After 72 years, the company closed permanently in late December 2023.
